BUYING
Due to the second-hand nature of the products listed on Derivative Leotards, we have limited capability to provide refunds and returns on purchases. We advise you make use of all the information available to you before placing an order. If you did not receive the item, or it is not as described, you have 14 days from your delivery date to contact us about the issue. You then have a further 14 days to return the goods once you have notified us of an issue.
We may not be able to refund/accept returns if:
- It is the wrong size
- The customer knew an item was faulty when they bought it
- The customer damaged an item by trying to repair it themselves/getting someone else to
- They no longer want the item
In unforeseen circumstances, any party (the seller, Derivative Leotards, or the customer) has the right to cancel the order prior to posting/collection and are entitled to a full refund if necessary.
HIRING
Cancellations will be confirmed via email only. Notification via an alternative source will not be treated as confirmed and does not follow the timescales below until sent via email.
- Cancellations requested within 4 hours of initial order confirmation, will be refunded in full.
- For cancellations 14 days or more before the hire start date, you are entitled to a full refund less £5.00 admin fee.
- For cancellations less than 14 days before the hire start date, you are entitled to a refund of the full postage cost only. Hire fees for bookings within this period are non-refundable, unless we can find another customer who wishes to hire the leotards in your place. Alternatively, you can claim a credit to the full value of the hire booking less £5.00 admin fee. Credit can be used on any future hire booking (not including Annual Hire) and will be valid until the end of the season (31st July 2026).
- Once items have been shipped (up to 5 days before the hire start date), defects or deficiencies notwithstanding, the customer agrees to pay the full hire and courier charges for said booking.
Refunds for early return of the items will not be given.
Exchanges/swaps of either hire leotards or hire dates are not permitted & will need to be treated as a cancellation and new booking.
All items are checked prior to despatch. It is the responsibility of the hirer to inspect the items on delivery or collection. If you identify any damages or shortages, you must inform us in writing within 24 hours of delivery, providing sufficient details. Other than by agreement, we will only accept returns if we are satisfied the items are defective and, if required, have carried out an inspection. Acceptance of the items will be deemed upon inspection of them by you and in any event within 24 hours after delivery.
